How much money is being requested?
At Monday's Council meeting $7500 is being requested from the city. Over the
three year projected span money and in-kind services will be provided from
many sources, including the school district, grants, donations, the
university, and others involved with the program. The total three year
projected budget is about $75,000.
How would this program be implemented in Moscow?
The money requested at Monday's Council meeting will be used to fund a one
week training session in early August to teach about 25 individuals the
methodology. I am not the best person to answer this question, for more
information you might write to Linda Pall at lpall at moscow.com
What measurable impact on the community might be expected?
This program is being proposed by the City of Moscow's Human Rights
Commission. The impact on the community would be about 50 trained
volunteers, many of them within the city and school district; virtues
discussed in the schools that has lead to a lessening of bullying; and more
attention to human rights issues.

Visionaries and John:
I appreciate John's invitation to invite public comment on items pending
before the city council. I do have some questions about the "Virtues
Project." How much money is being requested? How would this program be
implemented in Moscow? What measurable impact on the community might be
expected?
