I don't doubt that some Christ Churchers are being
spat on.  Both sides to the unnecessary culture wars
do it.  The  United Church of Christ was vandalized
(arson attempt and grafitti)- and of course they were
likely spit at - when they affirmed gay marriage.

I wouldn't expect anyone to file a police report over
having their car spat on.  That's a waste of time. 
It's marginally better to use the incident for
posturing.
