I think it is just that Pat Kraut has no control over
who gets married. Nor did she make an argument.
The majority of people over 45 do not agree with
homosexual marriage. They are not going to change
their minds.
The majority of people under 45 support gay marriage
or civil unions. So to me, there is no sense arguing
about it. In less than 30 years the majority of
population will agree with gay marriage and the
majority that once disagreed with it will be dead or
too old to care.
Trying to change the mind of people on this issue is
pointless. Someone born in 1920, 1930, or even 1940 in
the United States is unlikely to go against 40-80
years of religious and cultural upbringing. Time will
solve this problem.
