[Vision2020] I can't resist . .

Actually Joan, if you think you need examples.

For about three hours a week for close to half a year I woked with members
of the Idaho Conservation League, the National Marine Fisheries Service, US
Fish and Wildlife Service and the land management agencies to build a
consensus plan for joint management of resources and common testing
protocals in the management of ESA listed species habitat in Lemhi and
Custer Counties. The whole resulted in a document, The Lemhi County
Riparian Area Conservation Agreement which was signed by Multiple Use and
Environmental organizations alike Ask Mark about it some time, it is one
nice piece of work and even ended up solving interagency in fighting while
saving tax payers several millions of dollars and restoring and saving tens
of thousands of acres of spawning habitat for ESA listed steelhead and
salmon.

On things here, I talked to Mark and other PWCN folks frequently and have
always been willing to have a sit down. Heck I have frequently offered to
buy the beers. I offered on site tours to Diane French and to Lois
Blackburn, offered any and all geologists the opportunity to review core and
maps and trench data. I also contacted Tom Lamar from PCEI, Kevin Brackney,
Hydrologist for the Nez Perce Tribe and a number of others with interests in
the areas hydrology and desires to see water conservation.

I made numerous phone calls to opponents of various projects here and
offered to have sit downs to review geology. I suggested to those folks
north of Moscow that they should all apply for water rights to protect
themselves and their wells from future extraction to benefit Moscow and
Pullman and have further suggested to the county that all property owners
north of town enter into an irrigation district to jointly protect their
water sources, gain control of the process through a locally elected Water
master and get a seat at the PBAC table.

I attend county Planning meetings, commisioners meetings, PBAC meetings and
a host of other such functions. I listen and add what I can to help.

The one thing that I do not do is sit down for one four hour session and
then write off anybody because they disagree with me.

But what I found in all of what I consider normal discourse, Joan, was that
MCA was not interested in having a meeting with Naylor Farms or even with a
Non-Naylor Geologist like myself. Nobody wanted to go out to Naylor Farms
and tour their ideas. Nobody wanted to look at the core or the other data
or discuss alternatives.

And you Joan did not even spend the four hours talking to me, just as per
your suggestion, saw me in a meeting someplace and decided I was an a-shole.

But for all of that, Joan, I am still willing to meet with you for that four
hours and I am willing to buy the beers.
