In posting his theses on the Wittenburg Door, Martin Luther showed immense
courage. I'm not able to assign such a degree of integrity to the apparent
violation of zoning or taxation statutes, and certaintly not to propagation
of fake news releases about topless professors. I'm funny that way, though,
so feel free to grimace.

If you'd like to talk about this further, I'd be happy to. Email me off
list and we can chat. But I can think of a great many people (not just men)
in the community who have sacrificed greatly for its benefit and who are
worthy of our commendation. As for your subject line regarding "the Lord's
anointed" -- sorry, Mr. Man, but the "anointed" aren't exempt from honest
rebuke. I don't want Doug Wilson to die, for heaven's sake. I want him to
repent, and I pray mightily that he will.

If you are really "man enough" to talk with me, we will. If not, well, I
can only hope you exercise the discernment you wish were evident among the
"intoleristas."

Keely, I want to address some of the things that you have said.

You said: “Wilson has gleefully provoked and insulted the community.”

Keely, where do you come up with this stuff. Is there anyone in this
community that has shown more self-sacrifice and patience than Doug
Wilson? Of course the community was provoked. The community hates the
Gospel. The community hates beauty. That’s why they viciously attack good
men.

You said: “Wilson…appears to have problems following the rules of civil
authority.”

Keely, don’t you think that Martin Luther King was good? Don’t you know
that he also broke the law? The scriptures teach that there are times
when good men must resist the civil authority. Who shall we obey? God or
man?

“By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not
killed with those who were disobedient” (Hebrews 11:31).
Was it legal Rahab to help spies? Of course not. It was illegal, but it
was righteous. There are times when good men must break man’s law in
service to a higher law.
