[Vision2020] Patty's Kitchen

Until this year, whenever the University had an event in the SUB, they had
to rent St. Augie's for the pre-event booze reception, since alcohol was
forbidden on campus. Now the Board allows the President to determine whether
alcohol can be served on campus on a case-by-case basis. So, this year the
President's Holiday Dinner Dance had a cash bar.
It was just like drinking in church. :-)

I think you are correct about Taco Time. . . . they do sell beer and as
the crow flies they're pretty darn close to the church. Some years ago
there was the night club "Murdoc's" and it was housed in the building that
is now UI Accounts Payable. . . . that was definately closer to the Catholic
Church than Patty's is now. These are all things that have come up in the
past and have been resolved. Taco del Mar has beer and so does Taco Time. I
hope Patty's is next. Beer goes great with Mexican food (almost as good as
beer and pizza).
