[Vision2020] Dr. Lester Crawford Visit

Dr. Lester Crawford, commissioner of the Food 
and Drug Administration and world-recognized 
veterinarian, will be on campus next week (March 3) to deliver the
James A. McClure Lecture on Science and Public Policy.

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will be 
hosting Dr. Crawford for a reception at 2 p.m. on 
March 3 in the Ag Biotech Interaction Court.  
Interested faculty, staff, and students are encouraged 
to attend. Remarks by Dr. Crawford will begin at 2:30p.m. followed by a question and answer period.

Students are welcome and encouraged to participate.  If you are 
asking your students to attend the afternoon reception, please let us
know so we can plan adequate seating arrangements.  Please call

Dr. Crawford will deliver the James A. McClure Lecture 
on Science and Public Policy at 7 p.m. in the UI 
Administration Auditorium.  Participation is 
encouraged.
