=============================================================================
The School Board and the Facilities Planning Committee will be hosting a Public Forum at the MJHS Multi-purpose room from 7-9 PM on
Thursday, February 10th. The purpose of the meeting is take input regarding what needs to be done with the educational facility
needs of the MSD, as well as answer any questions people may have regarding our facilities. The Facility Committee will be there to
address concerns as well as listen to the Public.
In order to speak to the School Board and/or Facility Committee, one would need to sign up at the entrance. Speakers will be limited
to three minutes.
This will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Please attend this important meeting to share your thoughts regarding the needs of our school district as it relates to school plant
facilities.
The School Board will be making a decision on Feb. 24th regarding the scope and costs of a facility Bond measure. The Bond vote will
take place April 26th.>>
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF EVERY SPORT/activity COULD HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE THERE TO SPEAK UP FOR OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES/ACTIVITY
participants. Coaches and/or advisors of the teams/clubs would be welcome, also, to speak. New facilities have the expectation of
new PE/athletic/activity venues for the students. THE SCHOOL BOARD WILL BE THERE TO LISTEN TO THOUGHTS AND CONCERS OF ALL WHO TAKE
THE TIME TO SPEAK TONIGHT. THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO REITERATE THE IMPORTANCE OF ATHLETICS/ACTIVITIES IN THE LIVES OF THE
STUDENTS, and indeed instilling pride in Moscow as a whole. Activities ARE an important part of a well-rounded educational
experience...This from the IHSAA website: "...All activities programs shall be formulated to promote citizenship and the academic
mission of the school."
If you are unable to attend, please phone or email your school board trustee as to your thoughts on facilities issues. There is
still time for input into the decision making process!
