[Vision2020] Upcoming Citizens' Law Academy

Dear Community Members,

I am new to Vision2020, so I am not familiar with customary Vision2020 
etiquette regarding the subject matter of postings, but I believe this 
message is relevant for the community-minded people who subscribe to this 
list serve and is consistent with its purposes.

You are invited to apply to attend the Spring 2005 Second District Citizens’ 
Law Academy.  The Citizens’ Law Academy (“CLA”) is a free, 10-week public 
information program of the Idaho State Bar, supported by the Second District 
Bar Association, the U.S. Federal Courts, and other generous sponsors.  CLA 
is designed to educate the public:

- to understand the laws affecting their daily lives and their rights under 
the law;
- to understand what lawyers do, how they serve the public, and how problems 
within the legal
   profession and judiciary are resolved;
- to understand how the judicial system works; and
- to learn about lawyers’ public service and activities that help ensure 
equal access under the law.

Statewide, practicing attorneys, judges, law enforcement officers, and Idaho 
State Bar/Idaho Law Foundation staff serve as faculty and discussion leaders 
for the weekly evening class sessions.  All faculty, committee, and Bar 
staff time is donated.  The classes are designed to be interactive, 
informal, and of interest to members in our communities.
