[Vision2020] Intolerista: The New Revised Standard Definition

Dear Visionaries:

As Rose and Saundra have kindly informed us, Doug has recently updated his definition of Intolerista.  (See: http://www.dougwils.com/index.asp?Action=Anchor&CategoryID=1&BlogID=748.)  However, as Doug has a tendency to be both longwinded and shortsighted -- a deadly combination -- I've decided to help the members of this list, the folks at Merriam-Webster, and the Lewiston Morning Tribune's Jim Fisher by providing a clear and official definition of the word.  To wit:   

Intolerista (in'tol ur ee' stah), n., pl. -s.  Currently meant to be offensive.  1. A person having views contrary to those of Moscow Pastor Douglas J. Wilson.  2. Person or persons who are not Moscow Pastor Douglas J. Wilson, e.g., all the rest of us.  Usage: Pastor Wilson considers intolerista derogatory and offensive, as those to whom the word is applied generally prefer terms like liberal, progressive, conservative, Libertarian, Evangelical, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Jew, dog-owner, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Mariners' fan, free thinker and/or human being.  Note bene: As the meaning of intolerista seems to be fluid, entirely dependent upon the current level of Pastor Wilson's bile, see also neologism.
