On that note, I am trying to schedule a date for a "Year in Review" sort of
meeting for the public (probably a weeknight in January).  I will schedule
the meeting at the courthouse in room 2B (where the BOCC meets) at 7:00 and
it will be open to the public.  As part of the meeting, the Sheriff and
other LCSO team members will talk about where the office has been since
Wayne was sworn in and where we plan to take the office in the future.  I
will likely talk about the hot sheets and solicit ideas and suggestions from
the public at that time.  Of course, as always, I am continually open for
suggestion and can be reached via email, phone, etc.  I'd be more than happy
to meet with groups as well if the forum I am suggesting is too large for an
in-depth discussion about suggestions, complaints, etc.  

Along the same lines: I've been contemplating publishing a monthly or
quarterly newsletter to keep you (the citizens and visitors to Latah County)
up to date about other things going on at the office (other than crime and
arrest stats).  Please let me know if this is of any interest to you.
Include in your response (if you are interested) subjects you think should
be covered (for example, an article about what the signs and symptoms of
methamphetamine use are, or other articles of interest).
