Have you tried the Veggie Tales? They are very funny and adults love them also. I just bought The Adventures of Ociee Nash for my grandaughters (I hope they don't see this!). They are 10 and six and the Phantom of the Oprah frightened them. The two boys 13 and 11 will love Narnia and The Lord of the Rings movies so I am getting them some of those. Other than that we will watch Meet in St Louis one more time and Lemon Drop Kid and having been introduced to them at a very young age they will love them.

Thanx Pat. Any suggestions for a good movie for young children to see?

i understand from a friend that this is not a movie for young children. I have read the books and it really shouldn't be because there are some things that are scary. I know that CS Lewis's step-son has been very involved in the production and he is holding them close to the truth of the books.

Thanks for the clarification Chasuk. So the movie is ! just now coming out? After 50 years? Did it start as books?

Let me know if I can take my 4 and 6 year old Grandsons to King Kong.

I will post after I see Narnia as well. I assume it is for children.

                  > Hey - anybody seen the movie Narnia? Is it another Harry Potter Trilogy?

First, The Chronicles of Narnia predate the Harry Potter series by
nearly 50 years. Second, Harry Potter is not a trilogy. Third, The
Chronicles of Narnia is not trilogy, but comprised of seven volumes.
Therefore, you might be able to refer to the Harry Potter series as
"another" Narnia, but not vice versa.

Harry Potter does borrow from a lot of earlier works, but not from
Narnia, especially. Rowling takes a lot of the same tropes and
combines them in marketable way. Bravo for her. I understand that
she is now one of the wealthiest women in the world.

Th! ursday, the family and I are going to go see The Chronicles of
Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I'll post my review
                  afterwards!

Tomorrow, I'm going to go see the new King Kong. Has anyone seen that?
