[Vision2020] CItyRepair is coming! Community place-making for Moscow!

Dear Visionaries,

The Paradise Path Task Force of the City has invited City Repair, an all volunteer organization whose goal is to reclaim urban spaces for public use, to conduct a series of workshops in Moscow next week. These people are terrific. Please take time to connect with these innovative and creative folks as they show and tell about their work in Portland and take a look at Moscow with new eyes... Come to any of all the events listed below. You are welcome and the Task Force looks forward to seeing you!

PRESS RELEASE:



The Paradise Path Task Force invites the public to attend a design workshop/presentation series provided by the City Repair Organization from Portland, Oregon.  This series will occur on September 8 - 10, 2005.  City Repair is an all volunteer organization whose goal is to reclaim urban spaces for public use.  



The schedule will be as follows:



         Sept. 8th: 7 p.m. at the 1912 Center.

Public presentation from City Repair on who, what, when, where, why and how they have managed to reclaim urban spaces in Portland.



         Sept. 9th:  12 noon in the Council Chambers at Moscow City Hall.

         Join City Repair for lunch and a special presentation, including questions and answers.   

         

         Sept. 10th: 9-12 a.m. Community Assessment Outreach at the Farmer's Market.  

With the help of City Repair ideas and information, citizens will be able to locate on a Moscow city map their candidates for "reclamation" and opportunities for community place-making.  

                                    

         Sept. 10th: 1-4 p.m. at the City Council Chambers.

         Community Path Connections Workshop to discuss the results of the morning's information for possible projects.
