UI (and WSU) student abuse doesn't restrict itself just to town
either. After a quiet and respectful summer of recreation use on
Moscow Mountain, the abuse factor went off the chart this week with
dramatic increases in off-road ATV/dirt bike use and target shooting.
If/when it dries out again, expect mountain access to be restricted
due to the potential of these abusive users to start a wildfire. If
you're hiking, biking or respectfully motoring on the mountain and
see abusive uses, please report them to the Latah County Sheriff. No
landowner on the mountain allows off-road motorized use or target
shooting or campfires.
