Several others have also commented on the new lighted bollards in
Friendship Square. We brought it to the attention of the designer and
engineers who agree that the lights are excessively bright. I haven't
heard what the proposed solution will be, but have been told that one is
in the works.

Ellen, Brandon, and everyone else:
It is my understanding that energy efficient bulbs were used that
emulate
natural light in the new fixtures. They are a little broght but do look
kind of cool at night. Boise has some of these same lights in parts of
downtown and they make the area look pretty rad. At first the lights
seem
like a nusaince, but over time they grow on you. It is kind of like
when
Gambinos went from one type of beer, bud light, to another type of beer,
coors light, or vice versa (they all taste the same to me). The new
cheap
beer grew on me over time. A fish bowl is a fish bowl regardless of
what
kind of beer is inside it.
I can bet that Roger Blanchard or someone from the city could better
answer
questions about the lights.

Revolution is not a word but an application; it is not war but peace; it
does not weaken, but strengthens. Revolution does not cause separation;
it
generates togetherness.
