I'm not sure about the keg trees, but many people believed a BBC presentation
in 1957 showing spaghetti being harvested from trees. People were inquiring
about growing their own spaghetti. This is similar to the WMD in Iraq hoax
perpetuated by the Bush administration on the entire US Congress, all the
American people, and Bush's poodle, Britain's Tony Blair, except the WMD hoax was
not and is not funny.

said, "there's a sucker born every minute."
