How about that kids?
The current high school has 120,000 sq. ft. The new one would have 135,000
sq ft. But wait, the current high school only has 3 grades. The new high
school would have 4. Let us do the math.
The current High School offers 40,000 sq ft per class. The new high school
would offer less then 34,000 sq ft per class. Duh Oh!
You think over crowding is bad now, wait until you build the new school. And
as you pay for this dead horse for 20 years, according to CQE and the MSD,
the population would be rising 1.5% per year. This new high school will be
more crowded the day it opens then the current one is today. You could knock
down the 1968 annex, build a three story building in its place, and have
more space then you would get out of the new school.
Why get more when you can spend money you do not have to get so much less?
Take Care,
