[Vision2020] RE:Requests

Mr. Phil;

I am going to say this in as nice a way as I can:

You may make a request of any public office in writting (you can not make it
via phone) and you may expect them to comply with the request within 3
WORKING DAYS of your request. It is not, by law, a solid 72 hours, it is 3
working/business days that they have to respond. The District Office people
are very good about it, too. Also, you can expect, by law, to have to pay
for copying of the information if it is a lot of material. That is only
fair. They are using their paper and their time; you would charge, too, if
it were you being asked. Even lawyers and doctors charge for copies of
files and information.

You need to state in your request exactly what it is you want. Do not be
generic or wide in your wording.

There is NO $29mil remodel of the high school. The $29mil is for the ENTIRE
remodel/buidling project which includes two elementary schools and the high
school and the new high school. If you want a break-down of that, then you
need say so. BTW, that has been supplied to the newspapers, in newsletters,
is available at the District Office and was very available on Saturday in
the form of the individual handouts that the architect had for everyone's
convenience. Did you not get a copy of those? I am sure if you went to the
District Office and asked NICELY they would direct you to the material. I
beleive they are/will be available at the individucal schools also.

Are you looking for a "contract break-down" of the costs? If so, that would
probably be available once the bidding for contracters takes place or
shortly after. As was explained at the meeting, the costs as stated now are
not EXACT (meaning they don't have the exact cost of the wood, bolts,
supports, etc.), they are based on what this type of project generally
costs, with built-in expansion or cost over-runs built in. This is a
typical manner of project development. It is the contractors who bid that
put exact costs into their bid and determine the exact costs of materials.

There is a saying: When you listen with both ears and an open mind, you tend
to get what it is that is being said.

I am asking you to please learn to be a bit more contrite in your dealings
with people. All you do with antagonisim is set people off and make it
harder on you to get what you want, ok?

And, please let up on Ms. Keely a bit. She is not a paid person on the
board, she is a volunteer. As such, she takes from her personal, family
time to work for the betterment, if you will, of the community and the
children. That is to be applauded, not constantly stepped on. There is a
seat on the Board coming available...consider running if you think you can
do a better job than what has been done thus far.
