Sandra had a very good post. It is fine to disagree, but lets be civil. William F. Buckley and John Kenneth Galbraith have disagreed on the issues for 50 years and have remained friend. The Buckley's have been friends with Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows for years. Buckley is a fairly devout Catholic and Allen was an Athiest or Agnostic. Buckley and Gore Vidal are hostile to one another. It would be nice if people on the list would behave more like Buckley-Gallbraith and Buckley-Allen rather than Buckley-Vidal.
