Mr Arnold stated:
"I would much rather have that money go to the kids then to pay someone
$40-60 a year to post emails to V2020."
Your numbers are a little off, Mr. Arnold. I feel that the reason that I
was overlooked when pink slips were handed out, is because laying me off
would not result in any noticeable savings.
If it wasn't for my Army retirement pension and Tri-Care (active duty and
retiree health insurance), chances are fairly definite that I would most
certainly not be working in the position I am now.
For the sake of argument, I earn $10/hour. That's right, ten dollars an
hour.
That income, coupled with 40% of my retirment pension (as I am disabled and
only 40% of it is taxable), I don't even qualify for a tax bracket.
So, unless you have anything of value to add, Mr. Arnold, my beer is not
getting any colder and I am kinda in the mood for "Start Me Up" by Mick
Jagger.
What have you done for the tax payers today, Donovan?
Take care,
Tom Hansen
