In addition, the review committee recommended that the UI help Brice regain 
his "good name!"

While firing him might be seen by many as going too far, certainly the UI 
should have required extensive anger management counseling and imposed some 
penalty to demonstrate that pulling a gun on unarmed students during an 
argument is not acceptable behavior for any UI faculty or staff.  Is this 
lack of action part of the relaxed attitude toward the athletic department 
to attempt to make UI a 1-A athletic power?

In the same line WSU is proposing a policy to lower the academic 
requirements for entrants who are candidates for athletic scholarships. 
Will the UI follow?
