Hmmm.

Large corporations investing in our area? Sounds like a fascinating
concept.

You are absolutely right, Ms. Kraut. With large corporations investing in
our area, the tax base increases and those businesses on the "Tax Exempt
Gravy Train" would not be as sorely missed as they are now.

You know what Moscow needs? It needs to organize a group of local
businesses to encourage just that; Large corporations investing in our area.
And being a "co-op" of local businesses, certainly finances would not be a
major concern to them.

Hey! Wait a minute. We have such an organization; the Moscow Chamber of
Commerce. I understand that they have been in operation for a considerable
length of time already. Surely, they can attract major businesses to
Moscow.

Perhaps Mr. Kimmel, the President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce, can
chime in and inform the people of Moscow just what major feats and
accomplishments undertaken by the chamber.

How about it, Mr. Kimmel? What has the chamber done lately, other than
subject themselves to a $10,000 donation by the City Council.

The tax paying public wants to know.

Until then . . .

Take care, Moscow.

Tom "who is patiently awaiting Mr. Kimmel's response, but not holding his
breath" Hansen

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are
dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all
exist very nicely in the same box.

"If Ms. Richardson-Crouch has a large corporation willing to invest in our
area it would be very easy for all of us to get together and come up with
the dollars to build a new high school because then the tax base WILL GO UP
to cover the added expense."
And in the mean time we have thrown more money into another old building
that won't ever really meet the need!! I am for a new building that will
have many more possibilities.
