Ask CQE -- I would have no way of knowing how many of their people support
their efforts to pass the bond. I'm unaware of what may or may not have
gone on in discussions between the district and the UI years ago, but please
know that the idea of a new high school has long been considered, not just
when the Trail offer was made.

See you Saturday.

Keely, a couple of things you did not make clear to me, or maybe I just can
t see it, but could you answer EXACTLY what I am asking please?

1) How many members of the CQE voted to promote this levy to pass and how
many voted against it?

...it was the school board, not CQE, which voted to forward the bond to the
voters. CQE, which doesn't have a board, surveyed its members and decided
to support it. The board of trustees of the school district voted 5-0 on
February 24.
Keeley - what was the tally of the vote from the members of CQE? How many
for and how many against?

2) Was UoI approached for any available, possible building sites for a new
high school? If so, who decided they were not appropriate building sites?

I am not aware of a UI offer of land for a high school, and certainly not
during my 20-something months on the committee...... during the time I've
been on the board, there has been no UI offer manager, and no, Phil, there
was not an offer from the UI for high school land during this two-year
process.
The question asked was UoI "approached"
Maybe you should consult Superintendant Donicht.

Phil
