Phil and I have been emailing back and forth, and so now I'll try again with
a full audience:
There won't be any wetlands "destroyed" on the Trail property. Our
architects are not concerned about flooding, because they don't believe it
will be an issue. Nor do they believe that there is anything inherently
difficult about developing the site. And the 10 purchased acres of Trail
property will be appraised, per law, by an impartial appraiser.
There is an open house Saturday April 9 at the Trail property, and I'm sure
the architects can answer any questions for those sincerely interested in
finding out more. Please also feel free to check in on the district's
website.
And yeah, I believe the district has acted with integrity and propriety, and
I'm proud to be associated with it, with this bond, and with the FPC.

Wasn't there an article in the Daily news a couple months back that said
that several acres of wet lands were present on the proposed Trail site and
that the school district would have to buy equivalent acreage of wet lands
someplace else to make up for this loss of wet lands? Doesn't that acreage
come out of the total acreage because the school district has to buy and
develop some wet lands some place else to make up for destroying these on
the Trail property? Is this going to be another expense? How is it going to
be paid for?
