We were close to the southern edge of the ash here, but we still got
between 1 and 3 inches. Of course, I was 11 years old at the time, so
my memory could be a little skewed. I do remember not having to finish
the 5th grade, though.
North of us, especially around Plummer (if I recall correctly) was right
in line for the most ash. I know people who drove where they weren't
supposed to after the road closures and wished they hadn't.
