>From yesterday's (September 27, 2004) Daily News Letter to the Editor -

It's time to move on

We would like to applaud Paul Kimmell's gracious and humble apology
(Opinion, Sept. 18 & 19).

In our view it makes him an even greater leader now, than we already thought
he was. We are sorry that in a city, where some claim to be so "tolerant" we
find among them, exactly the opposite.

Overreaction only gives validity to opposing views.

Most of us believe Robert E. Lee was indeed a great leader. Our family has
read his biography. There are many lessons in leadership to be learned from
his example. Humility, for one, is the mark of a true leader.

Let's move forward now.

Here is a quote we could all take to heart:

"Get correct views of life, and learn to see the world in its true light. It
will enable you to live pleasantly, to do good" - Robert E. Lee.

Kimmell's gracious and humble apology??????????

Did we read the same letter?

Kimmell did not apologize. He simply painted the victim (the Moscow
community) of his ill-guided worship at fault for "misunderstanding" him.

As far as moving forward is concerned, the community will do just that when
we vote Kimmell (and his sick sense of leadership) off of the Latah Board of
County Commissioners in November of 2006.

Until then, I am maintaining an archive of Kimmell's "accomplishments" and
will continue to make them available to the public on a regular, recurring
basis.

Take care.
