> Feeling joy or despair or ennui following the election?
> Then toddle off to the first ITD meeting for the Environmental Impact
> Statement on the Highway 95 Moscow-to-Thorn Creek project, where, one
> hopes, your voice might be heard. Visit paradise-ridge-defense.org for

> Transportation Department (ITD) announcing the public meeting for the
> Environmental Impact Statement on the Highway 95 project, to be held Nov.
> 3 and 4, 1:30 - 3 PM and 5:30 - 8 PM, at the Eastside Marketplace (Troy
> Highway at Blaine Street, Moscow).
>
> This is a follow-up to an Environmental Assessment conducted by ITD, whose
> preferred alternative was to put a divided four-lane
> interstate-highway-standard highway across the western shoulder of
> Paradise Ridge. ITD has been forced to do a full Environmental Impact
> Statement on this section of the project, a possible realignment from the
> existing route.
>
> Please attend and give your input on what you believe are critical issues
> the EIS should address. It is our understanding that the meeting format
> will be with presentations and such, not so much a
> stop-by-for-a-few-minutes deal. Written comment will be accepted as well.

> See ITD's new site for the project at www.northwestmedia.net/us95/.
