[Vision2020] Norwegian Wood, please.

Joan and local censors:

"Norwegian Wood" is off the album "Rubber Soul."  I'm not sure it is OK to say "rubber," because I know very well that Jr. High students will erupt in conspiratorial giggles if you say "rubber" in certain settings... we must guard against these images!

I recall perfectly a class I attended at Taft Jr. High in San Diego when a student's error prompted the teacher to declare that the student had "pulled a boner," which the teacher thought meant making a mistake.  Maybe in the teachers universe of discourse she was correct.  But in the students universe of discourse her term meant something entirely different, which prompted the entire class to explode in uproarious laughter.  The teacher reacted as though she had no clue what was going on.

Come on Joan, where is your anima/animus duality?  Surely these little details of biology can be transcended by your vast and active imagination accessing the deeper levels of self...
