I sent the following as a letter-to-the-editor this morning.
Perhaps it will appear in your paper in the next day or two.

Ted

The broadcast presidential debate showed little difference between the two candidates. They spent an hour arguing over who would do the same things better. Absent was intelligent discussion of substance. Voting for either of those two guys is like rooting for your child’s high school football team, you want yours to win, will be happy if the one you’re cheering for does, but it really doesn’t make any difference.

Across the street a few hours earlier, Libertarian Michael Badnarik and Green David Cobb had a real presidential debate. Here were two candidates offering alternatives to bigger government, more socialized medicine and more war.

This year more than ever, voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. In Idaho both would be wasted votes as Republicans will carry the state in a landslide regardless of your vote. Your X would say you thought the direction they offered was okay. Don’t waste your vote this time. Vote Libertarian.

Send the message that the Constitution is the law of the land and, in government, bigger is not better. Go to www.badnarik.org. Find someone you will be proud to support.

Ted Dunlap

Chair, Libertarian Party of Idaho

office 922-3901
