Moscow Renaissance Fair Poster Contest Announced

Awards totaling $300 are offered by the Moscow Renaissance Fair for designs
for the poster and program guide for next spring's 32nd annual fair to be
held April 30 and May 1, 2005. All artists are invited to submit entries
which are due by Saturday, January 15, 2005, at BookPeople of Moscow, 521
South Main in Moscow.

The designs must incorporate the fair theme, "A celebration of spring," and
include colorful, whimsical, and inviting images of dance, music, and
springtime rebirth.

Designs must include the words:

finest craftspeople and musicians from the Northwest.

Submissions must not be larger than 17 by 21 inches. The design may be
produced by traditional freehand art techniques or by computer graphics.

The first place winner of the contest will receive $200. That design will
be reproduced by a four-color process on a 17 by 21 inch poster and will be
distributed regionwide. The second place entry will be used as the cover
of the Renaissance Fair program and guide, to be distributed at the fair.

The Moscow Renaissance Fair is the annual celebration of spring held under
the big trees at East City Park. More than 130 artisans, offering the
finest in handmade crafts of all kinds, plus 20 food booths from a variety
of local non-profit groups, will be there. Admission to the park, as well
as the continuous entertainment offered at both the main stage and in the
children's area, is free. More information is available at the fair
website, www.moscowrenfair.org
