Moscow Renaissance Fair Poster Contest Announced<br>

Awards totaling $300 are offered by the Moscow Renaissance Fair for
designs for the poster and program guide for next spring’s 32nd annual
fair to be held April 30 and May 1, 2005. All artists are invited
to submit entries which are due by Saturday, January 15, 2005, at
BookPeople of Moscow, 521 South Main in Moscow.<br>

The designs must incorporate the fair theme, “A celebration of spring,”
and include colorful, whimsical, and inviting images of dance, music, and
springtime rebirth.<br>

Designs must include the words:<br>

Featuring children’s events, great food, costume contest, parade and the
finest craftspeople and musicians from the Northwest.<br>
<br>
Submissions must not be larger than 17 by 21 inches. The design may
be produced by traditional freehand art techniques or by computer
graphics. <br>
<br>
The first place winner of the contest will receive $200. That
design will be reproduced by a four-color process on a 17 by 21 inch
poster and will be distributed regionwide. The second place entry
will be used as the cover of the Renaissance Fair program and guide, to
be distributed at the fair. <br>
<br>
The Moscow Renaissance Fair is the annual celebration of spring held
under the big trees at East City Park. More than 130 artisans,
offering the finest in handmade crafts of all kinds, plus 20 food booths
from a variety of local non-profit groups, will be there. Admission
to the park, as well as the continuous entertainment offered at both the
main stage and in the children’s area, is free. More information is
