Visionheads:

The Daily News failed to report that NSA intends to place a life-size
cardboard cutout of Elizabeth Fox-Genovese behind the podium while Dr. Roy
Atwood reads her comments into a loudspeaker from backstage.

Upon completion, he will join the cutout on the platform to discuss the
question, A degree from NSA: cui bono? The one-sided conversation should
last no more than 20 minutes, at which time Dean Atwood will carry his
corrugated peer offstage to make room for Douglas “the Bubba” Jones III.

I am, and shall remain, the Captain at your service.

"Speaker unable to attend ceremony

Elizabeth Fox-Genovese, who was to have been the featured speaker at New
Saint Andrews College's seventh commencement, is unable to attend because of
illness and a recent death in her family.
She expressed her regrets to the New Saint Andrews graduates and faculty,
but is sending her written comments, titled "The Freedom of the Academy: Cui
Bono?" to be read at the Wednesday ceremonies.

The college will award 24 undergraduate degrees at commencement, at 4 p.m.
Wednesday at the Logos Fieldhouse. The college also will recognize four
students as the "Outstanding Students, 2003-2004."

Josiah Helsel, a graduating senior from Wenatchee, Wash., will deliver
remarks on behalf of the class of 2004, and Sara Ramsey, a graduating senior
from Lakewood, Colo., will read poetry. Peter Leithart and Gordon Wilson
will present the faculty addresses. Roy Atwood will read Fox-Genovese's
comments and give the final charge to the graduates. Douglas Jones III,
chairman of the college's Board of Trustees, will announce the Outstanding
Students, 2003-2004, upper classmen who the faculty recognize for their
exemplary achievement, conduct, and service, and present a plaque with the
students' names on it, to be displayed permanently at the college.

For more information about the event, call (208) 882-1566."
