Visionheads,

Douglas wrote:
“Wisdom is identified by her children.”

Look at the rebels you produce, Wilson, and show us the wisdom. And don't
forget that wisdom is pronounced “whiz-dumb.”

“So try this chronology on”:

Sorry, Wilson, this chronology doesn’t fit. Why must you pin it all on
Brett? Why can’t you take responsibility? Why must you blame-shift your way
through life?

“1. Brett Bauer begins to behave in such an atrocious, illegal,
disrespectful, and unloving fashion that he ruins his credibility. . .”

According to the documentation provided on dougsplotch.hate, the Morton
Street Casino was the brainchild of Ethan Atwood, not Brett Bauer. And if
“Brett Bauer began to behave in such an atrocious, illegal, disrespectful,
and unloving fashion that he ruined his credibility,” then why didn’t Wilson
leave the 99 to find the one lost sheep. According to the documentation,
Wilson cut him off, threw him overboard, called him a “snake,” and then paid
him off —— despite his status as a member in good standing. And if
“atrocious, illegal, disrespectful, and unloving” behavior is the litmus
test for credibility, then planet earth has good reason to never believe
another word that Douglas Wilson says.

“2. The elders of Christ Church find out about his gambling operation, shut
it down, rebuke all the participants and culpable by-standers, negate all
debts incurred, and require all parties to return the money they acquired.
Are those the charges? Then we are as guilty as it gets. And you may confirm
our ‘guilt’ in this matter by referring to the documents posted by our
judicially-blinded adversaries.”

I read no charges on dougsplotch.hate. But one could deduce multiple charges
of pastoral malfeasance from the facts on that site. And, yes, Wilson is as
guilty as it gets. “Judicially-blinded adversaries”? Hmmmm. Since Wilson is
his own worst enemy, does this mean that God has blinded him and, like
Samson, “he wist not that the LORD had departed from him”?

“3. In the aftermath, Brett Bauer refuses to take money from one of guys
attempting to return his winnings, while complaining at the same time that
the church was robbing him through our mediation. In order to be above all
reproach, our elders appropriated the money to ensure the gambling
restitution (not debts) was paid to him, entered that transaction in our
minutes as part of our COVER-UP. . .”

No documents on dougsplotch.hate indicate that the casino house refused
money from anyone. But what does it matter? Pastor Douglas Wilson and the
Christ Church elders assumed responsibility for all debts. Big deal if they
entered their THEFT into the minutes. Does this relieve their guilt? NOT A
CHANCE. It aggravates it. And it does not explain why they refused to tell
the congregation about the PAYOFF.

“Brett was so concerned about the morality of the whole business that he
went and cashed the check. We also instructed the young men concerned that
they could donate money back to our deacons’ fund instead of paying
restitution to Brett. And that money was donated to the deacons’ fund by the
Atwoods.”

The casino house cashed a check cut by Christ Church. The Bible does not
require casino houses to be above reproach; it requires that *elders* be
above reproach. And did Atwood “donate” the money *before* he voted for the
payoff, or after Wilson got caught?

“4. Brett suddenly acquires scruples about the tax status of his money that
had been returned to him. But if I left my wallet on a restaurant table, and
the waiter chased me down and gave it to me, he would not also owe me a
W-2.”

No documentation on dougsplotch.hate shows Wilson chasing anyone down ——
shoving people down, yes —— but not chasing them down. Try this analogy. A
customer leaves his wallet on a restaurant table and Wilson chases him down,
rubs his face in the gravel, and says, “Take that you snake.” Then he
pitches a fit when John Q Public learns about it.

“5. Years later. . . .”

Does the passing of time remove guilt? No, Wilson, your splotch remains.

“And here I return to my first point. Bill, do your people have no shame? No
sense of decency?”

Take a long hard look at hatesplotch.net, Wilson, and tell us if it fits in
the category of “malevolence” or “benevolence.” Then ask yourself about
decency and shame. Learn to blush, Bubba, because the Bible condemns those
“whose glory is in their shame” (Phil. 3:19).

I am the Captain at your service.
