You're very kind and yet too generous with your compliments. Let the =

All the more reason, perhaps, to desire a kind, generous Spirit -- and =

Subject: [Vision2020] Failed Attempt ot Answer Keely Emerinemix
Jeremy, et al,
Your reply to Keely Emerinemix is a quite puzzling.
First and of least importance, my posting of Doug Jones private email =
to me was not a breach of confidentiality. For there to be such a =
breach, there must be prior agreement between the parties. I have never =
made such an agreement with Mr. Jones, although I have with several =
other Christ Church persons on previous occasions and have stood by that =
agreement.
Second, please look up the words "parody","satire", and "irony" in a =
decent dictionary. That knowledge might help you read much better, =
understand life much better, and also help you understand the current =
bad tempers at and near the top of the cult.
Third, you make little of the casino affair. However, felonies were =
committed, the statute of limitations has not expired, and therefore, =
secular justice may still be exacted. [Watch this space for further =
developments.]
Fourth, and most important, and though I am not a Christian, even as =
slow-witted old man as I can see that you missed the main point of Ms. =
Emerinemix's remarks.
Ms. Emerinemix argues that the Cult Master and his toadies are =
besmirching Christ and the Gospels by their untoward, very unchristlike =
behavior. =20
In your Vision 2020 posting, you completely failed to address her =
argument.
In fact, you underscored it. Your description of Doug Jones as your =
elder did not include loving, kind, patient, unselfish, forgiving -- the =
most essential virtues of Christ. (Its too late now to recharacterize =
Jones. Your Freudian slip is most revealing, not only of yourself but =
of Doug Jones and his colleagues running the cult.)
Ms. Emerinemix's objectives as a Christian are to perform acts that =
make the world a better, kinder, more loving place to live. Those kinds =
of actions are far more likely to influence sincere Christians and =
others than tyrannical ranting, egomaniacal bible thumping, and blatant =
dishonesty. Her behavior is selfless, caring, and, giving.
Contrast Ms. Emerinemix's behavior that with Wilson, Garfield, Atwood, =
Dickison, Jones (even as the self-depreciating toady that you paint him =
as) -- controlling, dominating, selfish, empire building, sexist, =
homophobic, intolerant to any that do not exactly share their world =
view, blatantly dishonest and deceptive, fraudulently unscholarly, and =
devoid of any sincere Christian agape -- and from my point of view, men =
with serious mental health problems including delusions, delusions of =
grandeur, castration complexes, and inferiority (to women) complexes to =
name just a few.
While I do not believe in the theology and supernatural claims of =
Christianity, I do not reject many of practical parts of the ethics that =
Jesus, Buddha, Plato, Hobbes, etc. taught. The actions of people are of =
much more importance to me than their philosophical or religious =
grounding. I believe this way because there are tens of thousands of =
different gods worshiped, but no tested, reliable way to determine =
which, if any, of these are real. This fact alone strongly argues =
against the existence of an omni-benevolent, omnipotent being. Why =
would such a so-described god leave humankind in such a theological and =
spiritual quagmire?
Back to the real issue:
In simpler terms, my main point for all, including Christians and =
other readers of the bible who can decide for themselves is: Ms. =
Emerinemix is a far more Christ-like figure than any of the above =
mentioned culties will ever be. =20
Further, it is doubtful that the above-mentioned culties will ever be =
able to really understand the sentence just above.
Wayne Fox

Lest Mr. Jones think that I'm picking on him, let me be quick to =
correct him. "Picking on" would imply that I have an unreasonable, =
malicious basis for offering the rebuke I am about to deliver -- as if, =
perhaps, he were the new kid on the playground, the clumsy stock boy at =
work, or the dullard holding up the line at Safeway. No, I'm afraid =
that I respond to Mr. Jones the way one responds to a spiteful, sullen, =
and snotty teenager or a callous, clueless, craven neighbor, both of =
whose behavior, come to think of it, describes his remarkably well.
The prerogative of a sister in Christ is to tell her brother -- and =
she is being hopeful and generous in her assessment here -- that he is =
behaving badly, and that his continued breeziness in dragging the name =
of Christ through the mud is not only causing immense harm to the Gospel =
and the Church on the Palouse, but has eternal consequences that all of =
the art, poetry, stout beer and classic literature in the world won't =
remedy. Concern for his wellbeing, the wellbeing of those he dismisses =
so readily, and for the testimony of Christ compels me, then, to suggest =
to Mr. Jones that while acting like a bully might fulfill, if not =
utterly exhaust, his creative yearnings, it has a terrible effect on =
one's spiritual life as well, as evidenced in his response to Wayne Fox, =
below.
Mr. Jones says he's "quite happy" to have Wayne believe a whole hill =
of lies. It appears that Wayne believes that certain Christ Church/NSA =
young men and Christ Church staff were caught up in questionable =
behavior a couple of years ago regarding the infamous casino. Fair =
enough; it seems a reasonable conclusion given the evidence we have, and =
Doug Wilson's apparent refusal to respond to Bill London's simple =
questions regarding the situation doesn't help. But I wonder if Mr. =
Jones' glee over Wayne's casino beliefs extends also to Wayne's entire =
belief system. Wayne has been nothing but gracious to me, and if the =
ethic guiding his life is also "a whole hill of lies," then I am =
grieved; I don't consider it "fun to watch," and I don't consider any =
part of any wrong belief to be "an affordable loss." Wonder why that =
is? And I wonder if I'm just hormonal, immature, or sickeningly =
sentimental for caring what Wayne thinks of me -- for allowing myself to =
be disliked because he perhaps disagrees with MY worldview, but at the =
same condemning myself if he dislikes me for being rude, unloving, =
haughty, or spiteful. And I can't help but wonder if my judging, or =
not, that Wayne is "a person who loves life" matters one tiny bit at =
all. If Wayne Fox is to be condemned by his creator, I would submit =
that it won't be on the basis of how creative he is or how evident his =
zingy, robust love for life is. The erudite Doug Jones should not need =
a homemaker with no theological training to remind him of that, but she =
offers it nonetheless.
It's simple. Doug Jones is behaving in a most unchristian manner, and =
as a Christian I am beyond heartsick about it. The Scriptures say it =
best, perhaps: "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who =
asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have, but do this with =
GENTLENESS and RESPECT, keeping a clear conscience so that those who =
speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of =
their slander." (1 Peter 3:15-16)
"Good behavior in Christ." Now THAT, we'd all like to see.
Respectfully,
Keely Emerine Mix
