I have the 2000 Edition of the " Federal Benefits for Veterans and Dependents Handbook, VA Pamphlet 80-00-1." In this booklet it lists dates of "Wartime Service" that under the law are recognized as war periods in order to determine certain benefits.</STRONG></DIV>

<DIV class=RTE><STRONG>We have: Mexican Border Period - May 9, 1916 through April 5, 1917.</STRONG></DIV>

<DIV class=RTE><STRONG>WWI - April 6,1917 through November 11, 1918.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV class=RTE><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV class=RTE><STRONG>WWII - December 7, 1941 through December 31, 1946.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV class=RTE><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV class=RTE><STRONG>Korean Conflict - June 27, 1950 through January 31, 1955. </STRONG></DIV>

Think about it. . . . we were attacked on our own shores during wartime on 9/11. </STRONG></DIV>
