[Vision2020] Alma Maters

Greetings Visionaires -

As I sat back in my easy chair here at home this evening, listening to "Here
We Have Idaho", and opening my third bottle of Corona, something interesting
struck my thoughts.

Aside from the pleasurable thought of Anselm House and Christ Church having
to pay property taxes like any other working businesses, New Saint Andrews
College does not have an Alma Mater. The University of Idaho has "Here We
Have Idaho." The University of Iowa has "Oh Iowa". Even Bozo State
University (more commonly referred to as Boise State University) has "Me and
Julio Down by The School Yard." But alas, New Saint Andrews College does
not have an alma mater that truly reflects its station in life.

I thought to myself that maybe we as local citizens can identify a song, a
melody, anything that reminds one of New Saint Andrews College when one
hears the song or melody.

In keeping with this idea, I challenge all subscribers of V2020 to provide
or suggest a song or melody that they feel best fits New Saint Andrews
College. Let me start this challenge with my own suggestion.

The staff and faculty of that soon (there is always hope) to be accredited
college may call it their Alma Mater some day, but right now Don Henley
calls it . . .

. . . "Dirty Laundry".

Please . . . let's provide future alums of NSA something that will remind
them of their storied lives at that someday accredited institution.

Until then . . .

Take care,
