  Last year we approved the hiring of about 15 additional tax auditors to go
after taxpayers who owed unpaid taxes.  This is the report from Commissioner
Hammond for the past 12 months.   The state treasury gained about 
another $14,000,000.  Not a bad investment.  I worked on this with a 
number of other
legislators to get it through but kudos has to go to Mike Mitchell who was on
the JFAC Committee who helped get it through.
