The words "Christian" and "Liberal" are at best vague, ambiguous, and =
ill-defined.
For example, on one end of the spectrum there are those that call =
themselves "Christians" and believe that the "basic Christian ethic" =
[whatever that is] has wide applicability ( a statement in its loosest =
interpretation I could agree with) but these people do not believe in =
God, the "virgin birth", or any other supernatural phenomena. At the =
other end of the spectrum are a large assortment of one-wayers (there is =
only one true way and it is the way "I" believe); the Christ Church Cult =
is an example of a one-wayer. The problem with the many different =
one-wayers is that there are serious doctrinal contradictions between =
most if not all the one-wayers' dogmas'.
The same kind of usage problem exists with the word "liberal" (or =
"conservative").
For a meaningful discussion participants might benefit from more clearly =
defining their views on each relevant issue, else little meaningful =
communication will take place.
