Seated at his usual bar stool at the Garden Lounge, Joe Hardy wasn't feeling 
so keen. Not only was the lad seated next to him boring, hypocrital, and 
decidedly ugly, but Nancy Drew was also there, and, as usual, ignoring him.  
Long the object of Joe's unrequited love, Nancy didn't seem to know he even 
existed.  Why, even after Joe's botox treatments, Nancy refused to fall 
victim to his charms.  A dark, distrurbing thought suddenly occured to Joe.  
Could Nancy be one of....those?  He couldn't bring himself to use the word.  
He forced himself to squelch the abominable thought.  Surely not.  Not in 
our town.  While having the bartender refill his Guinness, Joe pretended to 
look casually about the room, when in actuality, he had eyes only for Nancy. 
  He could see her quite well now, after the lasik surgery.  "Gee whiz!" Joe 
exclaimed quietly to himself.  Or maybe not so quietly, this was, after all, 
his seventh beer.  Nancy was standing out in the cold in Friendship Square.  
Curiously, she seemed to be looking at something with night vision goggles.  
Where could she have gotten those, Joe mused.  With his new, superior 
vision, Joe could easily make out the object of Nancy's rapt attention.  It 
was a lollygagging group of University of Idaho.....Vandals.  "Gollly!"  Joe 
said loudly.  "I better see if she needs help."  Quickly draining his beer, 
Joe shyly yet purposefully made his way toward his beloved.  Not likely to
