Moscow Community Theatre announces cast selections for its upcoming
production of David Auburn=B9s award-winning drama, =B3Proof.=B2

Kelly Quinnett has been cast as Catherine, and Isabella Whitfield as her
older sister Claire.  Dean Stewart and John Dickinson share the role of the
father, Robert, the mathematician whose genius and madness are his glory an=
d
his torment.  Robert=B9s former graduate student, Hal, has also been
double-cast, with the role alternating between John O=B9Hagan and Michael
Carpenter. Quinnett=B9s understudy for the role of Catherine is Erin Palmer.

Pam Palmer, who received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University
of Idaho, received a QuickFunds grant from the Idaho Commission on the Arts
to direct =B3Proof=B2. Palmer produced and directed the successful production o=
f
=B3Art=B2 at the Kenworthy two years ago.

=B3Proof=B2 won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for Drama.  It also won Tony awards
that year for Best Drama for playwright Auburn, and for best actress,
Mary-Louise Parker.  Parker is currently a member of the ensemble for TV's
hit series, "The West Wing."

Quinnett, a Theatre Arts faculty member at the University of Idaho, is well
known to audiences in the Inland Empire for her theatrical roles in the
region, for her role in the movie, =B3The Basket,=B2 and for her work on
television, including =B3Law and Order.=B2

Whitfield and O=B9Hagan are graduate students in the Theatre Arts MFA program
at Idaho, and Carpenter is an English Education major, with a minor in
Theatre, at Washington State University.

Stewart is the Pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Moscow, and Dickinson,
former head of the Computer Science department at UI, was newly elected to
the Moscow City Council in November. Erin Palmer, a recent UI graduate in
Psychology and Spanish, works at the Moscow Food Co-op.

The MCT production opens at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre on
Wednesday, February 18, and continues with evening performances on February
19, 20, and 21, with a matinee on Sunday, February 22.

Tickets, available through TicketsWest, are priced at $15 adults and $10
students/seniors.  Specially priced $5 tickets are also available for
participants at the ACTF/NW Drama Conference hosted by the University of
Idaho.=20
