Mr. Douglas -

For the second (and final) time.  As I stated:

" . . . the House and Senate passed the ERA in spite of Reagan's attempts to 
quash it."

Maybe I should have added "while as a bill in the House and Senate".  Would 
that make it a bit clearer?

No.  I am not saying that I would support womens' rights ONLY if guaranteed by 
a constitutional amendment, no more than there should be a constitutional 
amendment concerning marriages.

Enough said.
