It is indeed legal to keep chickens in Moscow. On our small lot just off
Blaine, we are allowed to have 25 chickens and a pygmy goat. No, I=92m =

making this up (my wife checked with the city). My wife won the
discussion on the chickens (we have about a dozen), but I won on the
goat (I think she just said she wanted one to get me to give in on the
chickens).

While it is legal, you still have to stay in good with the neighbors as
complaints of =93public nuisance=94 can still be leveled (for noise, =
odor,
etc=85). The good thing about chickens is that you can keep in good =
graces
with the neighbors with fresh eggs. If you have Norwegian neighbors,
goat cheese works well, too (my middle name is Carlstad so =93Geitost=94 =
was
not uncommon when visiting relatives. Luckily my Swedish wife prefers a
good Pr=E4stost).
