Valentines for AIDS Benefit Announced

A silent auction of locally-produced art work, with refreshments
provided, will be held at the Moscow Food Co-op on Valentine's Day,
Saturday, February 14, from 5pm to 7pm, with all proceeds going to the
North Idaho AIDS Coalition, announced Stephanie Wade, event organizer
and assistant kitchen manager at the food co-op.

The art, which includes textiles, sculpture, and photographs from local
artists, will be displayed at the Moscow Food Co-op at 221 East Third
Street. The food co-op will donate the refreshments.

The North Idaho AIDS Coalition is headquartered in Coeur d'Alene and
provides counseling and support for people who are HIV positive.

Wade explained that she had been involved in a similar Valentine's for
AIDS auction in Boise several years ago and wanted to duplicate the
event in Moscow to both raise awareness that AIDS remains a problem and
to provide support for the regional AIDS coalition.

Donations of art will be accepted at by Stephanie at the Moscow Food
Co-op deli until February 14.
