Lawmakers Perpetually Peeved at Rumsfeld Now Upset He Didn't Put Pen to
Letters

Washington, DC - Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld did not personally
sign his name to the letters of condolence sent to families of troops killed
in Iraq apparently. It was learned earlier in the week that the signatures
were imprinted by a machine, which lawmakers believed showed insensitivity
which was inappropriate during a time of war, when we are killing innocent
civilians, but are still showing much more sensitivity than Rumsfeld himself
would have. Despite criticisms from fellow Republicans echoing a vote of no
confidence on last weekend's, "Face Off Nation," President Bush's Chief of
Staff Andrew Card, who must be quite the card to believe what he says,
offered, "he's doing a spectacular job, and the president has great
confidence in him!" Administration insiders claim that it's only fitting the
letters be stamped by a machine as Rumsfeld himself, was replaced by a
formerly state-of-the-art android-type machine back during the Nixon
administration, lending a possible explanation as to why he never learns
anything from his mistakes, and always seems to speak as though he's been
short-circuited when he rapidly answers his own questions with moldy old
replies like, "you bet!"
