According to an AP story in the Tribune this morning, the UI has sold
its 35 acre field campus near the town of Clark Fork (east of Sandpoint).
The Clark Fork campus was a beautiful collection of residential and
classroom buildings in a park-like forest setting. A very nice place
for a class on wild mushrooms or even writing....
Now it has been sold, for $220,000 LESS than the appraised price,
WITHOUT advertisement or bidding.
It was sold to someone named Mark Berry for $495,000.
Who is Mark Berry and how did he get such a sweetheart deal?
After the UI's University Place fiasco, why is the UI doing the same
non-public, back room kind of deal again?
