Again the wizards at First Step have provided us with the latest
protection--this time from the dreaded spam robots.
Spam robots wiggle through websites harvesting email addresses from
places like Vision 2020 archives. Those addresses then are added to
lists that are used to send those disgusting unsolicited commercial
emails (spam).
Now, however, the spam robots will not be able to enter the V2020
archives. There is a new password wall built there by First Step to
make it impossible for that spam equipment to get through.
The key is that spam robots can not read pictures, only text. So,
this new page provides the password for human viewers in a shaded box
that is unreadable to the robots. But humans seeking to enter the V2020
archives just copy down that password and it automatically opens the
door to the archives.
It is another little step, but since it provides protection for the
privacy of your email address, it is well worth it.
To check it out, go to the Vision 2020 website at
<http://vision2020.moscow.com> and scroll down to the recent archives or
older archives. Click on either and the new password page will appear.
Fill out the password box, then click open the archives.
Those who have bookmarked the archives may have to reset them.
Our thanks to Bill Moore and First Step for their support.
