OK, nothing wrong with being wrong. And there's much right about admitting
it.

I was just concerned that, given the quality of investigative reporting in
the Daily News, and given the fact that Bill London (and other reporters)
don't  care what the precise facts are in any matter, and given that Jim is
just concerned with people "feeling" bad about an issue, that we'd see this
in Saturday's Daily News as a headline piece. Then I'd be trying to get a
retraction from the Daily News for another 6 weeks, and...  Well, you get
the picture.
