[Vision2020] Educational Diversity

How does being the winner of a specific contest reflect anything about
their educational environment? Other than perhaps they have the ability to
structure their education around studying lists of words, etc. I think
these events are 'trained for' just like any other competition. Does that
rank them with brilliance? Or does it put them in the category with other
things like pee-wee baseball world series, Miss Prepubescent America, King
Geography, etc...
