I would like a definition of anti-Semitism.

In the past, I have critiqued the policies of the geo-political state called
Israel; I was called an anti-Semite for questioning *any* policies coming
from that nation.

Using terms such as anti-Semite and racist have a way of shutting down an
argument -- not because of the argument itself, but as an ad hominem (if you
disagree with the policies of Israel, you are anti-Semitic). Such arguments
and logic is fallacious.
