Thomas, can you tell me what the difference between slander and poking fun
is? One is a legal term. You may want to check the dictionary.

I think that most of us have come under Stambler's blade at one time or
another. I would not call physical threats "poking fun". Maybe what *you*
have experienced was his poking fun. Some of us have been threatened with
physical violence and "slander".
